CII holds session on Life-Saving methods for Ludhiana Police along with Medical Health Check-up Camp on World Health Day

Ludhiana,( Sat Pal Soni) : On the occasion of WORLD HEALTH DAY, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised an interactive session on Life Saving Methods, that is BLS (Basic Life Support), in collaboration with SPS Hospital for Ludhiana Police at Police Lines, Ludhiana, today. The session focussed on imparting training about life-saving methods for saving the lives of local citizens as well as workers in various industrial sectors. Besides the session, Medical Health Check-up camp has been organized for Police Officials for their betterment b’cause they are the front line officers who work 24×7 for the industry and society.

Mr Ashwin Nagpal, Chairman, CII Ludhiana Zone and Managing Partner – Haveli Ram Bansi Lal, said, “Being an Industrial town with large migrant population and financial capital of Punjab, Ludhiana has its own set of challenges and to overcome those, the Police Department of our city is a key stakeholder. In this regard, today’s interaction with police officers of Ludhiana assumes great importance. Our objective of organising today’s interaction is primarily to provide training (with live demonstration) to the Ludhiana Police Officers regarding life-saving methods which they can use during the emergency while dealing with public. Besides, also explore areas where CII and Local Police authorities can work together.”

Mr Rishi Pahwa, Vice Chairman – CII Ludhiana Zone and Director – Avon Cycles said, “Our Police department is our face of the district. Whenever any emergency comes, they are the one who stands for needy, round the clock. Alongside, medical check-up camp will benefit our Police officers who works hard for the society by standing in hot temperature on the roads. So, our CII members are ready to serve our administration and society to make our nation Healthy and Safe.”

Mr Fateh Singh Brar, PPS – ACP – Head Quarters, Ludhiana Police appraised the CII initiative by saying that today’s session would help Police to engage not only industry, but also the society at large and make them partners in creating a new Ludhiana which will be much safer and smarter in true sense. Moreover, Police Administration is always ready to serve industry and society whenever they are called upon.

Dr Amit Bhambri and Dr Puneet Kumar, Senior Consultants from SPS Hospital, Ludhiana also announced that being as CII member, SPS Hospital is always ready to take such initiatives in favour of welfare of the society.

Moreover, Medical Health Check-up Camp have also been organized for Ludhiana Police. In which more than 125 Police Officials actively participated in this session from different departments like District Police Stations, PCR, Traffic and others to make it a great success.
